Default Cam Systems, what works best?

I currently have a seat of Virtual Gibbs and FeatureCam. I am now looking to change to either Mastercam or NX CAM, Anyone have any input on what is the best, easiest, system for a small machine shop needing 5 axis, 3+2, Horizontal mill, Lathe, and EDM programming. Any success or horror stories would be welcome.

NX Can program all of these machine types. It is NOT easy to learn but it is very powerful. I have been using NX for a long, long time and have not found anything it cannot handle. If you already have a CAD system you may want to look at NX CAM Express. This is only the CAM side of NX not the CAD part.

Here's a link to an article that ran in American Machinist last July, which might help: http://www.americanmachinist.com/304...e/False/81476/

We've also run reports on individual packages in subsequent months -- and continue to do so. I'd recommend looking through our digital edition for those. Here's the link to the digital edition:
