I own a small buisness that makes trekking poles and I've recently cancelled all my suppliers over seas to go American. Everything is great - except I need to figure out what this press is called so I can buy it for my shop.

Using s tapered steel mandrel- its placed inside of a press with two horizontal sides, and the bottom side moves which rolls the fabric onto the mandrel making tapered tubes. I've been trying to figure this out is called- platen press or some type of rolling press? I'm pretty green with some of this and any info would be great.

Hello,

I work using an hardinge lathe and I have a question. I have many parts to part off from a shaft. I am trying to use my live stock as an hard stop so I can leave my parting tool at the same place. But when I close my collet it pulls the part away from it's resting position.

Is there anything I can do to counter act that pull when I lock my collet?

Thanks in advance
